August 30 telegram says the road has just refurbished a Richmond-made locomotive purchased from the Richmond & York River RR and intends to call it "Governor Vance." This would have to be the Atlantic. September 1 letter says the road wants to buy a locomotive from the Government for the Tarboro Branch. The annual report stated that two locomotives had been purchased from the Government. |
