Savannah, Albany & Gulf Locomotives

April 30, 1861

Purchased Aucilla, Ogeechee, Piscola and Thronateeska. Superintendent recommended to the Board that an additional 6 locomotives be purchased before the winter of 1861 to handle the traffic.

1862
Purchased Louisiana from Central (of Georgia) Railroad, December 19, 1862. The Central reports selling the Macon on that date.

December 31, 1863

October 23, 1863, leased Stonewall and R. M. Patton from Memphis & Charleston Railroad.

January 1864 and November 1863, Limestone and John Childs were leased through the government. Limestone came from the Tennessee & Alabama Central RR; the source railroad for John Childs is unknown.  

1864

Government paid for repairs to Limestone and John Childs. October 19, Ochlocknee exploded.
