| This 2021 picture of the Raleigh &
Gaston RR company office building shows it with three stories. It
was constructed in 1860 with only two stories, the third (and
perhaps the iron work) was added after the war. The building, in
Raleigh, was moved about a block an a half to allow for a new street
system in the area of the capital building. The address is 413
