| Rented one locomotive (Number 2) from the Manassas Gap Railroad in April. A second Manassas Gap Railroad locomotive (Number 1) was rented earlier. On May 31, 1862, the road was also running 2 Government locomotives and one from the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad. | |||||||

| Purchased 4 locomotives from the Confederate government -- #76, #225, Colonel Myers and one unnamed, all Baltimore & Ohio RR captured locomotives. On May 31, 1863, the Manassas Gap #2 was no longer working on the road. Exeter (a captured US locomotive, renamed General Pettigrew) provided to Piedmont RR by CS Government. Vulcan was the Wyandank, captured from McClellan. | |||||||
