Montgomery Railroads

The Alabama & Florida (of Alabama) RR and the Montgomery & Eufaula RR were the same gauge and were probably connected in 1864 when a connection was made to the Montgomery & West Point RR. Because of the West Point road being of a smaller gauge, the roads were "connected" across a platform at the West Point depot.
