This list is for the Southern Division, only. Since the track had just been opened, the road had plans for more buildings to meet the much greater than expected needs. The following specific recommendations were made for construction for the following year (and were probably completed before the war began): at Canton -- a passenger house and a freight house; at Grenada -- a passenger and eating house and an engine house; a Holly Springs -- a machine shop and an engine house; at Grand Junction -- the passenger house enlarged and freight houses built. |
