Grand Gulf & Port Gibson Locomotives

Little information has been found on the locomotives for this railroad. There is a report of a contract in 1855 with the Cuyahoga Steam Furnace Company to build a locomotive, but no other information has been found. The Mississippi is on display at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. An 1866 New Orleans newspaper notice of public auction says there were 3 locomotives at that time.
