locomotive on the newly rebuilt Raleigh & Gaston RR Cedar Creek
Bridge. The bridge was 4 spans long, a total of 532 feet, and 74
feet high. The original bridge had been built on the stone piers
just like the reconstruction. The photo was taken in April 1865. |
