We the undersigned freeholders, of the County of
Hanover, having been called upon to asses the value of sills cut by the
Rail-road Company on this land of Mr. C. F. M. Garnett, do report that
we asses the value of 633 Red Oak sills cut by said Company at 40 cents
per sill making $253.20, and 1289 White Oak sills at 50 cents per sill,
making $644.50, making in the aggregate $897.70. We estimate that these
sills are worth more on account of their proximity to the rail road
{Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac RR}. All of which is most
respectfully submitted |
