It is enough for me to know that the question of Fuel is
considered one of serious moment, to induce me to devote either in
part or wholly the services of the train towards its relief. The
necessity, however does not modify my opinion as to the want of
provision on the part of the Qr. Master of the Post. But as long as
assistance in this, or any other mode by which the health, comfort
& interest of the army may be best promoted, the requests of the
commanding General shall receive a ready & cheerful compliance.
