| I have the honor to remind you
that ??? the 1st inst I forwarded to you at Cartersville, then your Hd
Quarters, the Muster roll of my Company composed of the Employees of
the Western & Atlantic RRd, accompanying which were certificates
of an Election held by the Company for Officers. I also tendered the
services of the Company to be used as Soldiers when in the opinion of
His Excellency Govn Brown our services were needed more in that
capacity than as Rail Road men. The object of the organization was to
hold ourselves in readiness, and prepare by drilling &c &c for
actual service when called upon. The officers elected are now desirous
of their Commissions. |
