of Georgia at Savannah Ga and also Agent for the Sale of Cotton on
account of the W. & A. R. Road {Western
& Atlantic RR} the sum of One hundred Thousand Dollars by
Express and Two hundred Thousand Dollars by draft to W. C. McClure,
and Seventy thousand Dollars by draft in favor of T. R. Bloom of Macon
Ga. Also by two Drafts in favor of J. W. Fears & Co. of Macon Ga
amounting to Ten Thousand Eight hundred ^ Six 67/100 Dollars, being
amounts drawn by me to pay for Cotton bought as Agent for the purchase
of Cotton on account of the State Rail Road under the direction of
Governor Joseph E. Brown |
The above amounts were drawn
against Eleven Hundred & Seventy four Bales Cotton Shipped to Col.
Wilbur at Savannah Ga in October and November of 1864 |
