We have official information
that the army must fall back from Dalton if supplies are not furnished
promptly & that their supplies cannot be furnished without greater
energy & efficiency in the management of the State road. We are
also assured that the Confederate authorities & State works, --
exclusively under your control We sympathize with you we doubt not you
will be equal to that responsibility |
