| Dear Sir, |
| I have a company composed of
100 men, 50 of whom are now on duty on W&A RR {Western
& Atlantic RR}, the other 50 are recruits and are now on
furlough. |
| The force now on the Road
especially at Atlanta is thought to be insufficient by Mr. Walker &
others. As half my company are already on duty I propose to put the
remainder on duty with them & will do so immediately provided I
shall receive orders from you to that effect. |
