Dear Sir, |
I have just returned from the Canebrake
with 11 cars corn being part of the lot purchased of C Walker, J. Y. ?olson,
P. S Cron & D. F. McCrairey. I have not been able to stay in Selma
any since Wednesday morning having to notify the parties it was bought
of to load it and to remain at the depot to see that it was loaded.
The Rail Road Company {the Alabama &
Tennessee River RR} want it unloaded immediately on its arrival
at Columbiana or they will not give us cars to remove the balance of
your corn. I would hire the hands to work at night if necessary so as
not to detain the cars. I want to get 12 cars as soon as those return
to send up 3000 Bu from I Crooms plantation and if we fail to unload
promptly the Rail Road Company will not let us have the cars. |
Very Respectfully Yours |
