Dear Sir, |
I have engaged an extra train
to bring you 3000 Bu corn {about 13 car loads} today but will defer going after it till I
receive further orders from you. I would suggest the propriety of
getting the corn and as early as practicable as when the trains
commence running again from here to Meridian {on
the Alabama & Mississippi Rivers RR} it will be very difficult
to get cars the through business requiring all the rolling stock the
road can command. |
I send you some vaccine
matter to use in vaccinating your negros at the request of Mr. Jones.
Mr. Jones has not yet got through with his business with Maj. Hunt and
will remain here till he does. I shall send you about 40 more hands
next week. |
