Dear Sir, |
Yours of the 24th ulto with
enclosures is just to hand. The iron for the Ala & Tenn RRd {Alabama
& Tennessee River RR} will be shipped the first train. The
givr carriage Tin is ready. The 500 tons pig Iron will receive
attention as you suggested. The bill of stul is correct. |
The iron for the Coal road {the
Montevallo Coal RR?} will receive attention as soon as the mill is repaired. A few days
since the pinions to the bar mill broke; as soon as new ones can be
put in we can roll the iron, if we have coal. The mill without
accident will be ready by Monday. We shall be out of coal by Saturday.
I have written Mr. Andrews for cars, but you had better see him &
if it stops raining have 12 cars sent up to coal road by Saturday 12
o'clock, so that we can get them on Sunday evening. If it will stop
raining our road {the Shelby Coal RR} can
be repaired in 3 days. I enclose memo. which please give attention,
particularly the corn. |
Yours truly |
