Dear Sir, |
I send you by next train 2 of wagons
bought by Mr. Cothran while down last and 36 Sacks of Salt sent up by
Dr. Ligon and 10 Sacks Peas do not know by whom sent as they came in
on the Demopolis road {the Alabama &
Mississippi Rivers RR} and you probably have been advised by the
shipper. |
Send back the lumber sent up in planking
up the cars loaded with corn also the lumber Mr. Cothran used in
planking up the two cars he took up some three weeks ago. I cannot get
any box cars to ship corn in and must depend on flat cars planked up.
Ship the lumber to Farmsdale to Shelby Iron Co. I have bought 200 Bu
peas for the Company and will send them up as soon as you can furnish
sacks. I am doing my best to get corn and fodder forwarded but find it
more difficult than I have ever known it before. Hope to be able to
send up several car loads this week. |
Yours truly &c |
