| Memorandum of an Agreement made this 10th
day of December 1862 between the Southern {of
Mississippi} Rail Road Company of Mississippi and the Memphis
& Ohio Rail Road Co by S. B. Jones Genl. Supt. |
| It is covenanted & agreed as follows
the Memphis & Ohio Rail Road Co Agree to lease to the Southern
Rail Road Co during the existing war |

| in good order to be delivered to the Southern Rail Road
Co upon the order of the Mast of Machinery Southern RR Co and to pay
to the Memphis & Ohio Rail Road Co at the rate of (10) ten per
cent pr annum on the above valuation for their use. The Southern Rail
Road Co are at the close of the war to return said tools in like good
order natural wear alone excepted to the order of the President or
Genl Supt of the Memphis & Ohio RR Co at Memphis or such point as
they may direct free of cost to them they furnishing the cars for the
same to be loaded upon. |
