Articles of Agreement between the Memphis
& Ohio Rail Road Company by Samuel B. Jones Genl Superintendent of
the first part and the Alabama & Tennessee River Rail Road Co by
Wm Rothrock Genl Supt of the second part. |
The party of the first part agree to lease
the party of the second part for service upon its own Road two Coaches
or passenger cars numbered letter "E & F" at the rte of
twelve dollars 7($12.50) fifty cents per day -- the day of service
being the commencement of pay. |
Also one caboose car & 3 box freight
cars numbered as follows -- 160, 147, 149 -- at $2.50 two dollars and
fifty cents per day the date of service being the day of commencement
of pay. |
Also 12 Platform cars numbered as follows
-- 00, 20, 40, 44, 31, 18, 32, 38, 56, 26, 4 at the rate of one
($1.50) dollar fifty cents per day the date of service being the day
of commencement of pay. |
The party of the second part are to put
the carts in serviceable order, at the cost of labor & materials
only as shown by the books & return them in the same natural wear
alone excepted. The cars to be delivered to the party of the second
part at Meridian, Miss, where they now are. The party of the second
part is to furnish to the party of first part at the end of each month
the amount days of service of each car. |
