| Your letter of the 30th ultimo has been
received. I should prefer the presidents of the railroads should
correspond among themselves or assemble by their own arrangements to
consider the subject of procuring supplies from abroad. I am
unwilling to intervene officially in matters relating exclusively to
their own interest. |
