Loudoun & Hampshire R. R. |
The work on the extension of
the Alexandria, Loudoun & Hampshire Railroad, beyond Leesburg, is
progressing. The village of Mercer, about seven miles beyond Leesburg,
is the point to which the labors of the Company extend at present,
which is expected to be in readiness for the cars by the first of
June. |
Great credit is due the
President and directors of this road, for the great energy and skill
displayed by them, in the management of tis affairs. Frederick and the
adjoining counties are largely interested in its speedy completion. It
will be an additional cord to bind the East and West. |
