Fatal Accident |
We regret to announce the
death of William Willis, aged about 17 years, son of Mr. George
Willis, of this town. We understand the youth was in pursuit of a
squirrel, and whilst attempting to cross the track of the Winchester
& Potomac Railroad, near Stephenson's Depot, was struck by passing
train, thrown across the rail, and shockingly mangled. He was
immediately conveyed to the house of his father, and died a few
minutes thereafter. The accident happened on Thursday last. |
