Travel on the Southern Rail
Road {considering the source of the report, this
must refer to the Louisville & Nashville RR} is immense,
and the trains continue to arrive and depart regularly. |
It is known that an order of
the War Department is on the way here, in the hands of an officer
authorized to execute it, to suspend telegraphic communication with
the South., The management of the lines from Louisville South refuse
to suspend until their lines shall be forcibly or authoritatively
closed by the Government, which will probably be done by the close of
the week. |
