| Shocking Accident |
| A man named Conwell, a soldier
from Northampton county, N. C., was killed last Friday on the Seaboard
& Roanoke railroad. He attempted to get on the train while it was
in motion, when his foot slipped, and he fell, the wheel crushing his
head beneath it. |
| The deceased leaves a wife and
six children, and was on his return from a visit home when he met his
death. |
| The accident occurred at
Suffolk. |
