We learn that a serious
accident occurred on Wednesday last, on the Wilmington & Weldon
Railroad, some miles north of Warsaw, by which some passengers were
wounded and one or more cars smashed up. The accident occurred to the
down passenger train, due here at 5 p.m., and was occasioned by the
breaking down of a car loaded with munitions of war. We have not
learned any further particulars. |
