Railroad Disaster |
Atlanta, Ga., July 7th, 1862 |
An upward and downward train
collided on yesterday at or near Johnson, on the Western &
Atlantic Railroad, by which the engineer and fireman and several other
persons, and a number of horses, were killed. |
LATER. Passengers report the casualties by
the collision on the State Road as follows: The engineer, fireman, and
eight soldiers killed, and thirty persons wounded. |
