To refugees and others having negroes to
hire. |
The railroad from Danville to
Greensboro' is about to begin construction on a large scale and
requires a numerous force of laborers, as well as overseers of
experience who can come well recommended. |
The price of $10 per month
will be paid for the best hands, and in proportion for inferior ones.
They must be supplied with clothing by their owners, and when
delivered to the Company must be provided with one week's ration of
food for which rations due allowance will be made in the first monthly
settlement. |
Payment will be made monthly
in cash. |
Overseers accompanying parties
of hands will be given the preference over others, if otherwise
satisfactory. |
The hands may be delivered to
the agents at any of the depots or the Danville R. R., or at
Greensboro', N. C. after the 25th inst. |
