From the Wilmington Journal |
May 21, 1863 |
|
We have received the second
number of Hill & Swayzes Rail Road Guide for May, 1863, published
at Griffin, Georgia. This might be made a work of usefulness to the
traveller, but as its last number appears to have been issued without
any reference to the changes of the time tables of trains from certain
points, it is calculated to mislead, rather than lead
the traveller. For instance, the Wilmington & Manchester cars are
made to leave Wilmington at 8:15 P. M. and 6 A. M.; whereas, ever
since the 22nd of February last, the trains have been leaving here at
5:20 P. M. and 6:15 A. M. We do not pretend to say where the fault
lies, and merely allude to this one road with the intention of calling
the attention of the compiler to the fact of the error, wishing the
publication of the Guide success. |
