The attention of parties
having certain produce along the line of this Road for shipment is
called to a proclamation by the Governor of South Carolina, dated
March 18, 1863, and are requested to comply with the terms of same.
The proclamation is intended only against those who buy to sell again
and not when the Produce there enumerated is purchased for one's own
use and consumption. For the proper shipment of this, however, it is
necessary that the oath prescribed in the proclamation be taken. |
