Land Slides on Virginia & Tennessee
Railroad |
Lynchburg, Va., Feb. 23d, 1862 |
|
There have been thirteen land
slides on the Virginia & Tennessee Railroad; a culvert was
destroyed, and one hundred and fifty feet of crib work is gone, in
consequence of the recent heavy rains. The repairs will be completed
in three or four days. |
