Stockholders' Meeting |
The stockholders in the W. &
W. R. R. {Wilmington & Weldon RR} Company
met at 4 o'clock p. m., on Wednesday, pursuant to adjournment. |
The committee on salaries
reported, recommending the proposed increase of 33 1/3 per cent. on the
salaries of the President and Treasurer, and referring the matter in
reference to the salaries of other officers and employees to the
President and Directors. |
S. D. Wallace was unanimously
re-elected resident, with the old Board of Directors, with the single
exception of Wm. S. Battle, of Edgecombe, in the place of R. R. Bridgers,
of the same county. |
Patrick Murphy, John C. Latta,
and John D. Love were appointed Auditing Committee for the ensuing year,
and the President and Directors were authorized to fill any vacancy
occurring in their Board between this and the next annual meeting. |
The next annual meeting was
appointed to be held in Wilmington on the Wednesday after the third
Monday in November, 1865. |
The thanks of the meeting
having been returned to the Chairman and Secretaries, the meeting
adjourned. |
