Coal |
We learn that 70 tons came
down the road {the Western RR} on Tuesday
afternoon from the "Taylor mine," which is now worked by Mr.
Colville of Wilmington. And we further learn that the Haughton
property, adjoining the Taylor place, is to be worked forthwith, also
under the superintendence of Mr. Colville. Mr. Colville has also, as
we hear, taken out some very superior Coal from the place lately
belonging to the hers of McIver, only about half a mile from the
present terminus of the railroad. |
The railroad company has
purchased another locomotive and a number of coal cars, so that
altogether we may look for a large increase of the coal business. |
