Stockholders' Meeting |
Pursuant to adjournment, the
Stockholders in the Wilmington & Manchester Railroad Company met
this forenoon in the Town Hall. General Haynesworth, the former
chairman, being absent, Alfred Martin, Esq., of Wilmington, was chosen
to fill his place. |
Mr. Wm. A. Walker, Secretary
of the Company, was requested to act as Secretary of the meeting, and,
with --- Evans, Esq., of Marion District, S. C., constituted a
Committee to verify proxies and ascertain the amount of stock
represented. The Committee is to report at 2 o'clock, until which hour
the meeting adjourned. |
There is unquestionably a
majority of stock represented. |
