Stockholders' Meeting |
The Stockholders of the
Wilmington & Manchester Railroad were unable to organize on
yesterday for the want of a quorum, or a majority of stock. The
meeting accordingly adjourned until half-past ten o'clock this
forenoon. We presume enough stock will be represented this morning to
enable the meeting to proceed to business. |
P. S. The meeting was unable to organize
this morning for the want of a majority of stock. Col. Mearks who held
the proxy for the State, we regret to learn, was prevented from
attending in consequence of an accident happening to one of his
children. |
The meeting has adjourned to
the 11th day of December next, at this place. |
