The fifteenth annual meeting
of the Stockholders of the Wilmington & Manchester Railroad took
place today, at the Court House, at 11 o'clock, a. m. The President
and Directors' report will be found in today's paper. |
Maj. Wm. Haynesworth, of
Sumter, S. C., was called to the chair, Wm. A. Walker, Secretary of
the Company, and Wm. N. Bowden, Esqrs., were appointed Secretaries of
the meeting. The Secretaries and Walter H. McRae, Esq., were appointed
a Committee to verify proxies, and report the amount of stock
represented. |
The meeting had not fully
organized up to half past 12 o'clock, there not being a majority of
stock represented. It is probable the organization will be effected
today. |
