The Accident on the Wil. & Weldon
Railroad {Wilmington & Weldon
RR} |
We learn from Mr. Blaney,
Conductor on the above Road, that the reported casualties by the
accident near Magnolia on Saturday last, have been greatly
exaggerated. There was one man, a colored brakeman, killed, and he was
standing on the platform. Two others, soldiers, somewhat injured, but
not seriously. The accident is supposed to have been caused by the
falling of a break, which threw the after cars off, up-setting some
four of them. |
