Accident |
We regret to learn that on
Saturday afternoon an accident occurred to the down mail train on the
Wilmington & Weldon Railroad in the neighborhood of Magnolia,
resulting, as reported, in the death of some three persons and the
wounding of several others. This is the report, but we can get no
particulars. |
It would seem that an axle of
the tender broke, throwing the train off and causing the injuries
reported. What loss of property the road sustained we have not heard. |
