Statesville Railroad |
The Railroad from this place {Charlotte}
to Statesville (called the Atlantic,
Tenn. & Ohio Railroad, because it was first chartered to run to
Jonesboro, Tenn., and thence to the Ohio River,) is now completed as
we announced last week. This Road will be of great convenience to the
country between this point and Statesville, passing as it does through
one of the finest sections of Mecklenburg and Iredell; and, indeed,
the country beyond Statesville will find it convenient for those
wishing to travel South, if not in the way of transporting goods and
produce. |
For the
benefit of the public we give the time of the arrival and departure of
the trains at Charlotte and Statesville: Leave charlotte at 3:30 p.
m., and arrive at Statesville at 7 p. m. Leave Statesville at 5:30 a.
m., and arrive at Charlotte at 8:50 a. m., in time to connect with the
morning train going to Columbia. Trains run on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Thursdays, and Saturdays. |
