Tennessee & Ohio RR} |
The Annual meeting of the
stockholders in this Company, was held in Charlotte on Thursday last.
By referring to the above Report of the President of the C. & S.
C. Railroad {Charlotte & South Carolina RR},
(who is also President of the A. T. & O. Railroad) it will be seen
that it is contemplated to finish the Road to Statesville by the month
of June, 45 1/2 miles, at a cost of $400,000, including Depots and
water stations being a little over $3,600 per mile. The following
gentlemen were elected Directors for the ensuing year. |
Wm. Johnston, J. A.
Young, David Parks, of Mecklenburg county, Jos. W. Stockton, A. K.
Simonton, Geo E. Davidson, R. I. McDowell, of Iredell county. |
Wm. Johnston was re-elected
president, W. I. Wristop, Sec'y and Treas', and T. J. Sumner,
Engineer. |
