Track Laying |
The laying of the track on
this end of the Piedmont Railroad was commenced yesterday morning, by
the energetic contractors, Messrs. Wilkes & Brother. We presume
the road will be finished in a few weeks. |
The machinery of the Manassas
Gap Railroad has been moved to this place where it will be put in
running order and do the repairs on the Piedmont road -- the rolling
stock of the former road having been leased to the Piedmont. The shops
for this machinery are already erected. |
