| We spent a day in Lincoln last
week ***** |
| Lincoln is quite a business
little town, with about eleven or twelve hundred inhabitants ***** |
| The Wilmington, Charlotte &
Rutherford Railroad is now completed to within 7 miles of Lincolnton,
and when finished to that town, the citizens expect an increase in
business of all kinds. |
| From the head of the Railroad
4 horse coaches run to Lincolnton. The proprietor, Mr Sutherland, exerts
himself to afford safe and comfortable accommodations. He contemplates
running fine coaches West by the time the summer travel commences. An
easy and pleasant route to the mountains will thus be afforded. |
