The Petersburg, Virginia, Express contains
the following paragraph: |
An Extra Train |
"An Extra Train" was sent out to
Weldon {on the Petersburg RR} from this
City on Monday afternoon, and returned about 12:00 o'clock the same
night, with a Bearer of Dispatches to the Confederate Government and
about Thirty-Five passengers direct from Europe. The passed
immediately "On to Richmond" where they ran the blockade. |
