| Run Over |
| A man known as Jack Kitt was last
evening run over at Milneburg by the cars on the track of the
Pontchartrain railroad and had both legs broken, together with one of
his arms, and his head badly injured. Indeed, his recovery is considered
impossible. Who was to blame for the unfortunate occurrence we could not
learn. |

| Died of his Injuries |
| Mr. Jacob Kitt, whom we mentioned in our
edition of this morning as having been run over by the Pontchartrain
railroad cars at Milneburg, has died of his injuries. It appears that he
attempted to get on the train when it was in motion, and on the side of
the cars not provided with steps, and falling beneath the wheels he was
terribly crushed and mangled. Mr. Kitt was a fireman, and is said to
have been a good citizen. He was a native of Bavaria, and about 46 years
of age, 26 of which were spent in New Orleans. |
