| Railroad Train on Fire |
| A freight car on the Louisville &
Nashville railroad was discovered to be on fire on Tuesday morning, near
the depot at Edgefield, and as it contained fifty barrels of turpentine,
and the train of which it formed a part consisted of fifteen or twenty
cars, heavily ladened with turpentine and produce, much difficulty was
experienced to extinguish the flames. The fire was accidental and the
loss about $1000. |
