The Murder at Bayou Des Allemond
The New Orleans & Opelousas {& Great Western} railroad company's warehouse at Bayou des Allemands, it will be remembered, was burnt on the 1st of May, and with it a man named Brantly. This Mr. Brantly, it now appears, had been previously murdered, and the warehouse set on fire to conceal the crime. An individual who bears the name of Kehoe has been arrested, and one or two negroes are under confinement, charged with having had a band in the perpetration of the fiendish act. Plunder is assigned as the motive which led to the murder.
