| Serious Railroad Accident |
| Two Lives Lost |
| We learn from the Mobile Tribune that a
serious accident occurred on Wednesday last, on the Montgomery Railroad,
owing to the road being washed out on three places between Greenville
and Montgomery {Alabama & Florida (of Alabama) RR}.
At one place the trestlework gave way and threw the train off the track.
A piece of iron protruded through the boiler, which bursted and killed
the engineer and one or two of the firemen; also wounding several
soldiers. |
