| Reduction of City Taxes |
| The mayor and council of Vicksburg have
reduced the taxes by one-half. The authorities of the Vicksburg,
Shreveport & Texas railroad having informed the mayor, verbally, that
they did not desire the collection of the $20,000 subscribed by the city
for that road, the city tax collector was instructed not to collect that
tax until directed to do so b the mayor and council. |
