| The Dalton North Georgia
Times, says that on Saturday last two Columbiads, weighing sixteen
thousands passed that place on the way {on the
Western & Atlantic RR} to Fort Morgan, near Mobile, Ala.,
and on Tuesday two others of enormous size, and two large cannons,
passed through on the way to Savannah. |
| The Savannah Republican
of the 30th instant mentions the arrival at that city, the day
previous, of an eight and a half inch Columbiad, via the Central (of
Georgia) railroad, and consigned to Gov. Brown. |
