Georgia Railroad |
It will be a source of
gratification to travellers to observe the Sunday trains on the Georgia
Railroad have resumed their trips, the Athens and Washington branches
running in connection -- see new schedule elsewhere. |
Why is it that the Georgia
road has so changed the departure of their trains for Atlanta that
passengers from Savannah and points on the Central road have to lie over
twenty-four hours at Augusta? A change of less than an hour on one road
or the other would effectually remedy the difficulty, and it ought to be
made. |
The same new schedule detains
the mails that pass through Augusta for upper Georgia a whole day. The
public have a right to a better arrangement, and we hope the matter will
be taken into consideration. |
